Key Responsibilities

  • Operate steel processing machinery (roll formers, presses, shears, automated lines)
  • Set up and adjust machines to meet production requirements
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues
  • Diagnose faults and carry out basic repairs to minimise downtime
  • Conduct basic maintenance and ensure equipment is operating efficiently
  • Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet production targets

 

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Machine Operator to join our production team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical mindset who enjoys working in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in operating and maintaining steel processing machinery to ensure efficient and high-quality production outcomes.

  • Previous experience in machine operation within manufacturing or steel industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical understanding
  • Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve machine issues
  • Ability to read and interpret production drawings/specifications (desirable)
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
  • Overhead crane licence (essential)
  • Forklift licence (desirable)
