Join our team as an Installation & Technical Design Specialist

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for precision and design? Do you thrive in a role where no two days are the same, moving from onsite installations to technical design support, quoting, and customer interactions? Santa Fe Shutters is looking for a versatile Installation & Technical Design Specialist to join our Auckland team.

This full-time role is ideal for someone who loves combining technical knowledge with practical skills. You’ll play a crucial part in delivering top-tier window treatment solutions, ensuring every shutter, blind, and shade we install exceeds expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Installation & Onsite Service

  • Install our premium shutters, blinds, and roller shades in residential and commercial settings
  • Carry out final site measures and troubleshoot installation feasibility
  • Handle minor repairs and re-installations with professionalism
  • Identify and report any product or install issues for continuous improvement

Design & Technical Quoting

  • Design and quote on the Norman range of products for both retail and wholesale customers
  • Provide technical advice and confirm product suitability for site-specific conditions
  • Interpret plans, check specifications, and liaise with sales, planning, and offshore manufacturing teams
  • Ensure all details in CRM/order systems are accurate and complete

Training & Product Expertise

  • Be our go-to expert for all things shutters and blinds in Auckland
  • Train internal teams, installers, and wholesale agents on products and processes
  • Support new product launches and contribute to technical documentation and training resources

Service & Warranty Support (RGA)

  • Attend to service and warranty jobs, inspect products, remeasure openings, and follow through with replacements
  • Keep customers informed and documentation up to date

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in installation, quoting, or technical design in the window treatment industry
  • Strong spatial awareness and top-notch attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Blind Matrix (or similar platforms) and digital tools
  • Fit and able to lift/carry products and work on-site
  • Full NZ driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Self-motivated with great time management skills
