About Sana Health Group
Sana Health Group is a private healthcare group specialising in the treatment of mental health conditions, addiction, and eating disorders. Our name draws from the Latin word for “heal,” and it guides everything we do. Across our network of residential treatment centres and a private mental health hospital, we provide high-quality, evidence-based care in nurturing environments.
Our values are Respect, Excellence, and Integrity, and they’re the standard we hold ourselves to every day.
The Opportunity
This is a senior finance leadership role within a growing, multi-site healthcare organisation. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll take broad ownership across the finance function: financial control, month-end close, process improvement, compliance, and business partnering with operational leaders.
The finance function is actively scaling, and there is meaningful work to do in building the controls, processes, and reporting infrastructure that will underpin the next phase of growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee month-end and year-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Manage and coordinate a distributed accounting and transaction processing team
- Develop and improve finance processes, internal controls, and governance frameworks
- Support oversight of Medicare billings, private health insurance revenue streams, and patient billing controls
- Manage payroll tax, workers compensation, and statutory compliance obligations including BAS and FBT
- Partner with operational leaders to deliver financial insights and support decision-making
- Support the Head of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and strategic projects
Who We’re Looking For

- CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent)
- 3+ years in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or comparable finance management role
- Strong financial control and month-end experience
- Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating finance teams
- Experience developing and implementing finance processes, controls, and operating procedures
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, evolving environment with a continuous improvement focus
- Strong stakeholder management skills and solid commercial acumen
Desirable
- Experience in healthcare, private hospitals, allied health, or funded healthcare services
- Exposure to Medicare billings, private health insurance claiming, or healthcare funding arrangements
- Experience with payroll and statutory compliance in a multi-site environment
