Senior Support Worker

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals in need, ensuring their safety and well-being. The Senior Support Worker will work closely with other team members to develop and implement care plans, and will be responsible for overseeing the work of junior support workers.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support and guidance to individuals in need, including those with physical and mental disabilities, the elderly, and those experiencing homelessness or addiction.
• Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with other team members, ensuring that the needs of each individual are met.
• Oversee the work of junior support workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Monitor the progress of individuals in care, and make adjustments to care plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided, and report any concerns or issues to management.
• Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed, and that individuals in care are safe and secure at all times.
• Provide emotional support to individuals in care, and help them to develop coping strategies and life skills.

Qualifications:

• A degree or diploma in social work, psychology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience working in a support worker role, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals in care and work effectively with other team members.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and find solutions to complex issues.
• A compassionate and empathetic approach to care, with a commitment to helping individuals achieve their goals.
