Love turning smart campaigns and standout events into real pipeline and revenue?
Looking for a role where you actually own the plan, not just deliver other people’s ideas?
We’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Lead, Campaigns & Events to take charge of our integrated campaign program and events calendar across two brands – Action OHS Consulting (workplace health & safety specialists) and Safety Champion (cloud-based safety software). You’ll be the go-to person for everything campaigns and events, from strategy on a page right through to on-the-day execution and post-event reporting.
What you’ll own
In this role, you’re not a “pair of hands” – you’re the owner of campaigns and events. You will:
- Plan and run integrated campaigns
- Work with Marketing Manager to develop and roll out quarterly integrated campaign plans that align to our business goals, ideal customer profiles and buyer journeys.
- Shape the offer, channels and budgets for each campaign – from paid social and search (with our Digital lead) to email, content and direct outreach.
- Build clear campaign calendars, run sheets, and workflows so everyone knows what’s happening, when, and why.
- Work closely with Sales, Product/Consulting and the broader Marketing team to turn campaign interest into meetings, demos and pipeline.
Own our events program end-to-end
- Take full ownership of our annual events calendar – think trade shows, industry conferences, roundtables, partner activations, breakfasts and webinars.
- Lead end-to-end logistics: venues and stand design, suppliers, collateral, staffing rosters, travel, WHS and risk – you’re the one making sure it all runs smoothly.
- Design smart pre / during / post-event plays to maximise registrations, attendance, meetings and follow-up.
- Ensure there’s a robust lead capture and routing process, with meetings booked on-site and follow-ups happening quickly.
- Produce clear run sheets, briefing packs and post-event debriefs so we get better and smarter every time.
Partner with Sales & stakeholders
- Work with SDRs/BDRs/AEs on lists, SLAs, talk tracks and follow-up cadences so campaigns and events actually move deals forward.
- Equip Sales with event scripts, outreach sequences and leave-behind collateral that feel on-brand and useful.
- Coordinate partner co-marketing where relevant, ensuring both sides get value and visibility.
Own performance & optimisation
- Track and report on the metrics that matter: registrations, attendance %, meetings booked, MQL/SQL contribution, campaign/event ROI and influenced pipeline.
- Test and optimise messaging, offers and channels – recommending where we double down and where we stop.
- Make sure all campaign and event pages are set up to convert and properly tagged (UTMs, sources, etc.) so we can trust the data.
Lead, coordinate and lift others
- Provide clear briefs and priorities to junior team members and external agencies/suppliers.
- Offer feedback, coaching and support – you set the tone for quality, professionalism and safety, especially in-market.
What you’ll bring
You don’t need to tick every box, but you’re likely to be someone who:
- Has 5–8 years’ experience in B2B marketing, with proven ownership of events and integrated campaigns (SaaS/tech or services experience is a big plus).
- Is equally comfortable thinking strategically and getting hands-on – you like building the plan and rolling up your sleeves to make it happen.
- Has a track record of turning campaigns and events into qualified pipeline and revenue, not just “brand awareness”.
- Is a natural project manager – you love timelines, checklists, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Has strong experience with tools like CRM/marketing automation, paid platforms (e.g. LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads), analytics and WordPress/website CMS.
- Is confident coordinating suppliers, internal stakeholders and event teams under time pressure.
- Writes a sharp brief, can review creative with a good eye, and is comfortable tweaking assets in Canva/Adobe when needed.
- Communicates clearly, gives proactive updates and hates surprises as much as we do.
Relevant qualifications in marketing, communications or a related discipline are ideal, but equivalent experience is just as interesting to us.
How we work & what you can expect
In this role, you’ll enjoy:
-
Real ownership: You are the point person for campaigns and events. People will look to you for the plan, the decisions and the wrap-up.
-
Visible impact: You’ll see a direct line between your work and revenue, client growth and brand presence in the market.
-
Variety: One day you’re finalising a paid campaign and email sequence; the next you’re on the floor of a trade show or hosting a breakfast.
-
Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Consultants, Product and the broader Marketing team across two aligned brands, both focused on improving workplace health and safety.
-
Learning & growth: We’re continually refining how we do marketing, events and safety – you’ll have room to test ideas, try new formats and suggest better ways of working.
We’re also committed to a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace. You’ll be expected to uphold our health, safety and wellbeing standards and contribute positively to our culture.
Action OHS Consulting and Safety Champion Software actively encourage applications from candidates with caring responsibilities and are open to discussing flexible working options that may enable individuals to be successful in this role.
