Markethand

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Markethand to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing customer orders, rotating stock, and maintaining clean and organised cool rooms and storage areas in line with food safety standards. From time to time, you may also assist with delivering mushrooms from the farm to market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, unload and store mushroom deliveries in line with safe handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse and cool room environment.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders accurately to meet daily customer requirements.
• Operate forklifts to move stock and transfer completed orders to despatch.
• Conduct stocktakes and assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels.
• Carry out quality and food safety checks, reporting any issues promptly.
• Complete daily forklift safety checks and ensure equipment is well maintained.
• Load delivery vehicles efficiently, handling both palletised and manual orders.

Skills and Experience:

• Forklift licence and experience preferred
• Experience handling and loading products
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting and manual handling
• Reliable and adaptable, with availability for early morning shifts (typically 2:00am – 7:00am)
