Summary:
The Marketing and Communications Officer plays a vital role in enhancing the visibility and reputation of the organisation. This is achieved by delivering various marketing, communications and public relations functions and initiatives across regional NSW. The role engages with external stakeholders and staff to ensure marketing collateral, branding, social media, websites, advertising and communication is relevant and representative of the organisation’s mission and values. Ideally the position will be based at the organisation’s head office in Wagga Wagga however it can also be located in any other office in the service region. Pay range is $76,377-$95,034 p/a plus salary packaging up to $15,900 for general expenses and $2,650 for meal entertainment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote programs and services.
- Create engaging content for various platforms, including social media, newsletters, and the company website.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and customer needs, providing insights to inform marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communications.
- Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and agencies to support marketing efforts.
- Assist in organising events and promotional activities to enhance community engagement.
Key selection criteria:
- Experience in marketing or service promotion including the effective use of technology such as websites, email and social media.
- Experience working with partner agencies and/or media in production of public statements and presentations.
- Proven ability to network and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government.
- High level written and verbal communication skills including understanding of the government’s style guide.
- High level of self-motivation and problem-solving ability, excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Demonstration of the organisation’s values – integrity, empathy, collaboration, innovation and excellence.
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, and/or public relations.
- Current drivers licence.
