A Rewarding Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive Assistant Accountant to join our small, fun, professional Finance Team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be hands-on in managing payroll, assisting with financial reporting, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations that keep the Club running smoothly.

About the Role-Permanent Part Time-3 days

In this key support role, you will be responsible for:

✔ Processing weekly payroll and maintaining employee records

✔ Preparing and reconciling payroll tax, superannuation, and leave provisions

✔ Assisting with monthly journals, bank reconciliations, and financial reports

✔ Managing BAS lodgements and supporting financial audits

✔ Reconciling general ledger accounts, accounts payable, and petty cash

✔ Supporting fixed asset and stock management

✔ Maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to process improvements

What You Bring to the Role

🔹 A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently studying)

🔹 Minimum 3 years’ experience in an Assistant Accountant role

🔹 Strong proficiency with accounting software (Xero, Accpac) and Microsoft Excel

🔹 Experience with payroll processing and accounting compliance

🔹 High attention to detail, strong reconciliation and analytical skills

🔹 Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude

🔹 Experience in a Club or hospitality environment (highly regarded but not essential)
