About the Role
As our Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of commercial insurance repair and major loss projects by producing accurate assessments, scopes of works and cost estimates. Working closely with Project Managers, you will assess property damage, coordinate specialist inputs and develop detailed reports that enable efficient and compliant project delivery. This is a hands-on role where you will engage with customers, insurers and trades, ensuring all estimates are accurate, aligned with building codes and insurance requirements, and delivered within agreed timeframes, while identifying risks early, supporting planning activities and maintaining strong
communication across all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
·Conduct detailed property damage assessments (onsite and remote) for insurance repair projects
·Prepare accurate scopes of works, cost estimates and causation reports for minor and major loss claims
·Coordinate specialist trades and integrate findings into comprehensive assessment reports
·Ensure all estimates comply with building codes, legislation and HSEQ requirements
·Liaise with Project Managers, insurers and stakeholders to support efficient claim progression
·Maintain accurate records across systems and deliver reports within KPI timeframes
About You
·Experience in building estimating, insurance assessments or a similar construction role
·Strong understanding of building methods, materials, codes and insurance repair processes
·Ability to prepare detailed scopes of work and professional reports
·Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
·High attention to detail with strong problem-solving and organisational ability
·Relevant trade qualification, Builder’s Licence or construction-related experience
