Our mission is to provide assistance to address the cause and effect of homelessness and poverty, faced by marginalised individuals. We succeed in achieving this through a combination of caring services like food provision, medical and social welfare, and education.

Our Healthcare Team operates fully equipped Medical Clinics offering safe, high-quality healthcare to people experiencing homelessness, disadvantage, and social isolation.

Our team of doctors, nurses, dentists, allied health professionals, and case workers work together to deliver compassionate, holistic care to those who need it most.

Following the launch of our new Blacktown Medical Clinic, we’re proud to now support communities across both Ashfield and Western Sydney.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Registered Nurse to join the work that we do for our community.

This role offers flexibility, you’ll have the choice of a part-time or casual arrangement, depending on what best suits your lifestyle.

You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including GPs, social workers, AOD specialists, and allied health staff to support clients with both physical and psychosocial health needs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide clinical nursing advice, care, and comfort to marginalised patients with empathy and a non-judgemental approach.
  • Facilitate patient triage, administer vaccinations (adults & children), perform wound care, assist with minor procedures, and conduct phlebotomy.
  • Deliver nursing assessments, mental health assessments, and chronic disease management plans.
  • Manage recall and reminder systems, clinical data, and accreditation compliance.
  • Coordinate infection control processes and cold chain management.
  • Promote preventative health and wellbeing in complex social contexts.
  • Conduct outreach visits as part of our primary care team when required.

YOU WILL HAVE

  • Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse (List A).
  • Minimum 3 years’ clinical experience, ideally in community health, or GP practice settings.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed and harm minimisation frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with diverse clients.
  • Experience using clinical systems (HELIX, Best Practice or similar).
  • Unrestricted driver’s licence (essential for outreach work).
  • BLS certificate and up-to-date CPD and immunisation requirements.
  • Compassionate, adaptable, and passionate about improving healthcare access for those most in need.
  • Experience working with people experiencing mental health, AOD, homelessness, or refugee-related challenges is highly regarded.
