Loop Checker / E&I Technician – Oil & Gas Project | Permanent Opportunity

  • 3/1 Roster
  • $70 – $90 ph + Super
  • Longterm project
  • Fly from any major city in Australia

We are currently seeking experienced Loop Checkers to join a major Oil & Gas project in Western Australia on a permanent basis.

The Role

As a Loop Checker, you will be responsible for the installation, assembly, testing, verification, and completion of instrument tubing loops between field instruments and control systems on an Oil & Gas facility. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate signal transmission between field devices, control systems, and final control elements during commissioning activities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Instrumentation qualification
  • Current WA Electrical Licence
  • Current EEHA Certificate or renewal
  • White Card
  • High risk EWP
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • CPR / LVR certification
  • EEHA Certificate
  • Valid drivers licenced

Essential Experience:

  • Previous experience in Oil & Gas or heavy industrial environments
  • Strong understanding of commissioning and loop checking processes
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and specifications
  • Previous experience on major LNG projects and EPC environments
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and client-facing communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in high-compliance environments
