About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead our Quarry Materials, Capping and Solid Waste operations in Epping. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving safe, efficient, and high-performing site operations while delivering quality materials.

You will oversee the processing of Construction & Demolition materials, manage production outputs, and ensure all products meet customer and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and develop site teams with a strong safety focus
  • Provide daily direction, performance management and workforce planning
  • Support hiring, training and continuous improvement initiatives

Operations & Performance

  • Oversee crushing, blending and waste operations to meet production targets
  • Drive efficiency, cost control and process improvements
  • Optimise plant performance and asset utilisation
  • Manage stock control, reporting and site standards
  • Support CAPEX planning and operational growth

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a Zero Harm safety culture
  • Ensure compliance with safety, CoR and environmental requirements
  • Conduct audits, investigations and toolbox talks
  • Partner with HSE on risk, dust and silica management

Quality & Systems

  • Maintain compliance with ISO standards and IMS requirements
  • Monitor quality and manage non-conformances

About You

  • Proven experience in quarrying, civil, waste or a similar operational environment
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and contractors
  • Strong operational mindset with a focus on safety, productivity and quality
  • Ability to analyse data, manage reporting and drive performance outcomes
  • Confident communicator with strong planning and organisational skills
