The role:

We are seeking a Gift in Will Officer to join our Individual Giving Team to help build a sustainable Bequest development program. With the option for either full-time (5 days) or part-time (4 days) hours, this role will be responsible for identifying and converting leads into confirmed Bequestors through cultivating and soliciting prospects through the principles of fundraising moves management.

Utilising Redkite’s warm donor base, this role solicits gifts in Wills through direct mail leads, email, telephone engagement, targeted functions, information sessions and other initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Increases and retains the number of confirmed gifts in Wills donors through stewardship, cultivation and solicitation of Redkite donors and prospects
  • Develops relationships with GIW information seekers, new and existing gifts in Wills supporters, asks considerers/intenders for the gift in Will confirmation and gift type
  • Ensure Gift in Will donor activities comply with Australian laws, Redkite policies, and fundraising standards.

About you:

You have experience in donor development, stewardship and solicitation of gift in Wills prospects. You demonstrate the following skills & experience:

  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills, with the ability to relate sensitively to people, especially people of a senior age – especially via the phone and email
  • Strong written abilities
  • Competent in maintaining donor contact information for consistent and regular recording and reporting of engagement activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively both autonomously and as a member of a team
  • Sound knowledge of using fundraising databases (ideally Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suit
