About the Role:
The Surgical Clinical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the administration of surgical teams and ensuring the smooth clinic operations. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of patient care and assisting in various clinical tasks within a surgical environment. Based in Perth, Western Australia, the Surgical Clinical Assistant will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of surgical services, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes. It is vital the successful Clinical Assistant is willing to travel to all clinics across the Perth Metro area on a weekly basis to support our Surgeons as they cover across Perth.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during clinics to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage bookings including handling referrals and liaising with hospitals and insurers.
- Ensure an exceptional patient experience through proactive communication.
- Assist surgeon with paperwork preparation including consent forms, pathology forms, referral information.
- Assist in the billing process, including receiving payments.
What the successful candidate needs:
- Previous experience in a surgical or clinical setting is preferred.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Hold a police clearance certificate, or willing to obtain prior to commencement.
- Willing to travel to all clinics across the Perth Metro area – kilometre reimbursement for travel between clinics when working at two locations in a day.
