We are expanding our onsite Health & Hygiene team and are seeking Occupational Health & Hygiene Technicians to support the delivery of health surveillance, respiratory fit testing, and personal exposure monitoring at a major iron ore operation in the Pilbara.

This is a site-based FIFO role on a fixed roster, offering the opportunity to work within a well-established occupational health and hygiene program in partnership with a leading mining client. As part of the RED OHMS Group team, you will be embedded onsite, contributing to a professional, safety-focused environment while gaining valuable hands-on technical experience.

This role is well suited to individuals who enjoy practical field-based work, value consistency and team culture, and are looking to build a long-term career in occupational hygiene. You will contribute to the health and wellbeing of workers in a high-performing mining environment through practical monitoring activities and onsite health programs. The role provides exposure to industry-leading systems and an opportunity to build highly valued technical skills within a supportive and experienced team.

Full training and certification provided

Comprehensive training and competency verification are provided prior to mobilisation to site, including:

  • Audiometric testing in accordance with the WHS (General) Regulations 2022 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022 (Reg 58)
  • Spirometry testing aligned with Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand methodology
  • Respiratory protection fit testing using the TSI PortaCount
  • Hearing protection fit testing using the 3M EarFit system
  • Personal exposure monitoring, including respirable dust, respirable crystalline silica, inhalable dust, weld fume, asbestos, diesel particulate, and personal noise dosimetry
  • Mine Air Quality Technician (MAQTC) training
  • LGIRS Hygiene Registered Sampler registration

Prior experience in any of these areas is highly regarded and will be well utilised in the role. Training and certification pathways are included as part of onboarding to support capability development.

About you

To be considered, you will need:

  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence (for travel and site requirements)
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Availability and willingness to work a fixed FIFO roster from Perth
  • Ability to meet pre-employment medical and site fitness-for-work requirements
  • Current Standard 11 Mining Induction and medical, or willingness to obtain prior to mobilisation

This is a high-compliance role with required competencies verified prior to mobilisation.
