The opportunity
We are a close-knit, collaborative Finance Team looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable professional to join us full-time, with flexibility to accommodate part-time or school-hour arrangements for the right candidate.
In this role, you will primarily manage accounts receivable while also providing support across accounts payable and payroll as needed. The position is office-based, but we value work-life balance and are open to flexible scheduling options to suit your needs.

Primary responsibilities
Accounts Receivable:
- Review and approval of draft invoices in Xero ensuring timely issuance to clients via system email or dedicated portals (e.g., Coupa or Ariba)
- Manage accounts receivable by controlling debtor ageing, pursuing overdue payments, coordinating with business units to resolve billing queries
- Action any invoice adjustments or requests for supporting documentation from clients
- Circulate list of overdue invoices to Business Unit Leaders on a weekly basis and report overdue invoices to Directors in the weekly finance meeting
Other financial responsibilities:
- Daily bank reconciliations in Xero
- Processing of accounts payable from PO to invoice to scheduling payments
- Processing employee expense claims
- Daily processing company credit card receipts and reconciliation to statement
- Fortnightly payroll processing including PAYG, Payroll Tax & Super payments
About you

You bring with you:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a dedicated Accounts Receivable role, or 3 years’ experience in a general accounts role with Accounts Receivable responsibilities
- Extensive working knowledge of Xero
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload effectively
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confidence in communicating with both internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and leadership teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to professionally respond to emails and telephone queries from clients, suppliers, and employees
- Accountability, reliability, integrity, and a genuine team-player attitude
