Red Gum BBQ is looking for a motivated Head Chef to join our award-winning restaurant and lead our Kitchen Team in creating our famous American-style Southern BBQ menu. Located in the stunning Red Hill region, our venue offers a unique and inspiring setting to work and grow.

What’s Cooking in Our Kitchen

With ongoing growth and exciting changes at Red Gum BBQ, we’re seeking a passionate Head Chef to take the reins of our back-of-house operations and continue building on our well-known brand. You’ll be responsible for planning, running, and maintaining all aspects of the kitchen while inspiring and developing your team.

Who We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years’ experience leading fast-paced, high-volume kitchens
• Ability to work autonomously and show initiative
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to train and develop your team
• Proven experience implementing process improvements and contributing innovative ideas
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and foster a collaborative, productive kitchen culture
• Knowledge of Food Service Programs and HACCP preferred
