About the role

The Portfolio Advisor is the primary client-facing advisory seat at Ramsey. You own the end-to-end client relationship from Discovery Session through Strategy Conversion, Portfolio Plan delivery, Statement of Advice presentation, Client Investment Reviews. You are the architect of the client’s wealth creation journey — translating market opportunity into a personalised strategy each client can execute with confidence.

This is a consultative advisory role, not a sales role or a buyers agent role. All leads are supplied by our Concierge team — you are not cold prospecting. The performance metric is conversion through trust and strategic clarity, not pressure or volume.


What you will do

  • Deliver 30–45 minute Discovery Sessions using our methodology
  • Present 60–90 minute Strategy Sessions with tailored portfolio strategy
  • Brief Internal teams on modelling and debt structure requirements
  • Present Statements of Advice jointly with other teams to secure client acceptance
  • Deliver Client Investment Reviews and Annual Portfolio Performance Reviews
  • Manage 15–20 active client programs under SLA pressure


What we are looking for

  • 1–3 years experience in property investment advisory, financial planning, or comparable consultative sales (medical/pharmaceutical sales, real estate, management consulting, professional services — your sector matters less than your sales track record)
  • Demonstrable consultative selling capability — you build trust quickly and convert on substance, not pressure
  • Strong written and verbal communication — ability to simplify complex financial concepts for sophisticated clients
  • Comfortable with structured KPIs, weekly scorecards, and the discipline of managing 15–20 concurrent client programs
  • Genuine passion for property investment — through personal portfolio ownership, professional experience, or deep self-directed education
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, property, economics, or related field preferred but not essential
  • Expert CRM proficiency or willingness to learn (we train)
