Due to our continued growth, we are now looking for a Quality and Safety Coordinator on a permanent, part-time (0.8FTE) basis to join our clinic operations team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Clinic Operations Manager, this is a hands-on role responsible for driving a positive safety culture through the provision of specialist advice, risk and quality management, and clinical governance.

The role is responsible for coordinating complaints management, clinical incident investigation, and resolution processes, whilst overseeing incident reporting systems.

The Quality and Safety Coordinator will work collaboratively with operational leaders, clinicians and executive stakeholders. The role supports continuous improvement, patient safety, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance across the business.

The incumbent will also provide secretariat support to the Clinical Governance Committee by assuming the role of Clinical Governance Committee Secretariat.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage patient complaints, feedback, and clinical incident reporting processes.
  • Conduct preliminary reviews and investigations into clinical incidents, near misses, and patient safety events.
  • Support implementation and maintenance of the organisation’s clinical governance framework.
  • Conduct internal audits and oversee corrective and/or preventative actions.
  • Provide secretariat support to the Clinical Governance Committee and related governance meetings.
  • Coordinate investigations into serious events, near-misses, or complaints, implementing root-cause analysis and corrective action plans.

About You

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, within a healthcare setting.
  • Experience preparing committee agendas, minutes, and governance documentation.
  • Experience coordinating investigations, incident reviews, or governance processes within a healthcare environment.
  • Understanding of relevant Work Health and Safety legislation, compliance frameworks, and best practice principles.
  • Formal qualification in Healthcare, Risk Management, Work Health and Safety, or other relevant discipline, or willingness to obtain.
