Description

Queensland Rugby League is seeking a dynamic and experienced Digital Marketing Manager for a 10-month parental leave contract. If you have a passion for sports and a talent for driving digital engagement, this is your chance to be involved with one of Australia’s most beloved sports. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

As the Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll be the mastermind behind crafting and executing digital campaigns that will captivate our audience and elevate the QRL brand. Your strong technical expertise will be the driving force in a marketing environment that equally values innovation and flawless execution. You’ll have the freedom and support to challenge traditional marketing methods, pushing the boundaries to uncover best practices for our organisation, including the Queensland Maroons. We’ve broken it down a little more for you:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to spearhead and manage high-impact digital performance marketing campaigns across Facebook Ads, Display Ads, YouTube, and other paid channels, ensuring they align with best practices and resonate with QRL and Queensland Maroons fans.
  • Experience working within Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform.
  • Analyse and structure data, converting insights into actionable strategies to optimise campaigns. Focus on diverse objectives, including raising awareness, driving conversions, acquiring new fans, and retaining our loyal Maroons community.
  • Work with internal analytics team and external agencies to implement precise tracking across QRL and third-party platforms. Ensure all campaigns hit their KPIs and contribute to our overarching goals.
  • Build Targeted Audiences by utilising data and advanced analytics tools to create detailed audience and customer segments based on user behaviours and profiles, ensuring our messages hit the mark with the right people.
  • Design, implement and analyse structured tests and experiments to gauge the effectiveness of paid digital campaigns, always striving to refine and enhance our approach.
  • Provide clear, comprehensive reporting on the performance of paid digital marketing campaigns. Offer valuable insights and actionable recommendations to drive continuous improvement and future success.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

A passion for sport and an understanding how it can bring communities together with the assistance of journey-based marketing. A proven ability to develop and maintain quality relationships and deliver superior outcomes. 

You’ll also possess:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a marketing environment. 
  • A tertiary qualification in a related field (desired).
  • Be an experienced administrator of Saleforce Marketing Cloud Platform or similar marketing automation tools. 
  • Proven understanding of data types, data manipulation, relational data modelling, analytics and digital marketing communication channels.
  • Experience in programming in SQL, Javascript, Ampscript or HTML.
  • Highly organised and be a creative and innovative thinker with strong attention to detail.
  • Eagerness to learn how to think in relational data modelling and in programming languages.

 

A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a full-time 10-month contracted position based in Milton. QRL remunerate based on the position to ensure gender pay equity in sport and the salary for this position is $100,000 plus superannuation.
