About Us

QuantX Labs is developing advanced quantum-enabled optical clock technologies with real-world applications across defence, space and commercial sectors. We are looking for Physicists to support the development of precision measurement and sensing systems, working closely with engineering teams to bring concepts into practical application.

 

What you’ll be working on

  • Designing and implementing experimental setups toresearch, measure and validate physical principles
  • Applying physics principles to the development ofquantum and precision measurement technologies
  • Performing precise physical assembly ofexperimental apparatus, ensuring alignment, cleanliness, and stability
  • Characterising system performance throughexperimental and analysis techniques
  • Supporting experimental design, modelling andvalidation activities
  • Working alongside engineering teams to translate theory into product outcomes
  • Contributing to system performance, analysis andoptimisation
  • Supporting testing, data analysis and technicalproblem solving

This role sits within a highlycollaborative environment where physics and engineering intersect.

 

What we’re looking for

We’re open to candidates across all levels.

  • PhD or Masters in Physics or related discipline
  • Experience in one or more of the following:
    • Precision optical spectroscopy
    • Atomic clock development
    • Laser frequency stabilisation
    • Modelling light-atom interactions
    • Non-linear optics
    • Optical frequency combs
    • Laser development and measurement
  • Experience in applied, experimental or systems-based environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
  • Exposure to quantum, sensing or precision measurement environments is beneficial
