About Us:
Quantum-Systems is at the forefront of autonomous, AI-powered aerial robotics globally. Our Australian subsidiary, Quantum-Systems Australia, operates in the Defence, Security, and Commercial markets, specialising in Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles (UAS) in the Asia-Pacific region.
Summary:
Our UAS Operational Specialist will be responsible for the provision of operational field support, training, and maintenance services to our UAS clients. This role demands a blend of technical prowess, problem-solving skills, and a passion for UAS technology, and is instrumental in the development of our UAS operational procedures and compliance with regulatory requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site support for UAS operations, including system setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct pre-flight checks, maintenance, and inspections, ensuring UAS readiness and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in flight operations, data collection, and processing.
- Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and software updates on UAS equipment and systems, maintaining the highest standards.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in the field, ensuring minimal downtime and continuous operation for clients.
- Provide comprehensive training to clients on UAS operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Design and develop training and assessment materials.
- Offer expert advice and support, enhancing clients’ understanding and utilisation of UAS technology in their operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in field service, ideally with UAS or related technology, preferably within the Defence or Government sectors.
- Experience in delivering or facilitating UAS training.
- Australian Citizenship, current security clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Flexibility to travel both nationally and internationally to clients as required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well within small teams.
Desirable
- Experience conducting complex UAS operations, involving BVLOS operations and night operations.
- Experience in operating UAS under the CASA MOS Part 101.
- Experience operating >25kg UAS.
- 500+ recorded flight hours.
- RePL <25kg Powered-Lift, <25kg Multi-Rotor, AROC, OCTA.
- Certificate IV in TAE40122 Training and Assessing (or equivalent).
- Strong problem-solving skills.
