Description

The Finance Manager is responsible for the full spectrum of operational financial management, compliance, and reporting for the organisation. This includes audit leadership, and all foundational accounting duties, ensuring the organisation’s financial health, regulatory compliance. Provide accurate and timely financial information to external payroll and accounting providers to support grant acquittals, financial reporting, and statutory compliance. Manage effective working relationships with external service providers to ensure agreed deliverables, timeframes, and funding obligations are met.

Professional Skills and Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• CA or CPA Qualification, or working towards

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the not-for-profit sector

• Proficiency in Xero accounting software

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll legislation, and salary sacrifice arrangements

• Experience working across multiple cost centres and funding streams

• Ability to apply professional judgment independently within established procedures

Mandatory requirements:

• A current valid Queensland Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or eligible to apply.

• Current Queensland Driver’s Licence.

• Current Police Check
