About QATSICPP

The Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak (QATSICPP) is the peak body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child protection and the Queensland Youth Justice Peak. We work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Organisations, government and sector stakeholders to influence policy, strengthen workforce capability and advocate for culturally strong, community-led systems that uphold the rights, safety and wellbeing of children and young people across Queensland.

 

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Support Officer to provide high-quality administrative, coordination and executive support within the Office of the CEO. This role plays an important part in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Executive Leadership Team, ensuring executive and office functions run smoothly, efficiently and professionally.

 

Working closely with the Office of the CEO, you will manage a range of coordination-heavy and process-driven tasks including diary management support, correspondence tracking, records management, office logistics, finance-related administration and event coordination. This role suits someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where confidentiality and professionalism are essential.

 

Identified Position

This is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identified position. In accordance with section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), we are seeking applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only. Cultural knowledge, connection and lived experience are essential requirements of this role.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality administrative and executive support to the Executive Leadership Team.

• Support diary management, meeting coordination, travel bookings and executive logistics.

• Manage correspondence, shared mailboxes, records, registers and filing systems.

• Coordinate office logistics, catering, events and visitor arrangements.

• Provide finance-related administrative support including purchasing, invoices and asset tracking.

• Support document control, systems coordination and continuous improvement of administrative processes.

 

About You

You will bring strong organisational and time management skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to work respectfully with diverse stakeholders. You will understand the importance of cultural safety, confidentiality and relationship-based ways of working, particularly within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled and government contexts.

 

Key Requirements

• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage (identified position).

• Eligible for, or holding, a current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card).

• Current Queensland Driver’s Licence.

• Strong administrative, coordination and communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to manage competing priorities.
