About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Switchboard Designer to join our PSD Energy team based in North Lakes, Queensland.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of low and medium voltage switchboard projects, supporting the design and delivery of high-quality electrical solutions across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop LV/MV switchboards and control panels
• Prepare detailed schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams
• Interpret client specifications and ensure compliance with Australian Standards (AS/NZS)
• Coordinate with engineers, manufacturers, and project teams
• Support costing, estimation, and procurement activities
• Review and verify designs to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality
• Provide technical support during manufacture, testing, and commissioning

About You

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade (with design experience)
• Proven experience in switchboard or panel design
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems and relevant Australian standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar design tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
