About the Role
We are seeking a Distribution Drafter/Designer to join our PSD Energy team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will be based full-time onsite at our client’s Shepparton office, working closely with client stakeholders and project teams to deliver high-quality design outcomes.
You will play a key role in delivering detailed design and drafting solutions for distribution and
sub-transmission projects, supporting end-to-end project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed design drawings and construction plans for overhead and underground distribution networks
- Support design of sub-transmission and substation projects, including layouts and asset documentation
- Produce and maintain accurate CAD drawings, GIS data, and system records
- Assist with project scoping, cost estimates, and design documentation
- Ensure designs meet technical standards, Safety in Design, and OH&S requirements
- Verify drawings and technical data, including third-party and manufacturer designs
- Undertake minor surveying and asset recording activities as required
- Support project delivery through design updates, documentation control, and stakeholder coordination
- Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting standards and processes
About You
- Certificate IV, Diploma, or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
- Experience in distribution and/or sub-transmission design and drafting
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, or similar drafting systems
- Understanding of electrical networks, construction methods, and design processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical documentation
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
