The Role

The Analyst, Unlisted Assets & Alternatives plays a critical role in the administration and processing of unlisted investments, with a strong focus on managed accounts and associated Know Your Customer (KYC) obligations. Operating within a high-volume and largely manual processing environment, this role requires a detail-oriented and highly organised individual who can navigate complex workflows with accuracy and efficiency.

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end account administration activities, including onboarding, transaction processing, and ongoing maintenance of unlisted asset portfolios. A sound understanding of both custodial and non-custodial environments is desired, as you will work closely with custodians, fund managers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of trades and asset servicing.

This role suits someone who is proactive, highly switched-on, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic and sometimes unstructured environment. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are key to success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform KYC and AML checks for managed accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including FATCA and CRS
  • Manage the end-to-end account onboarding process, including preparation, submission, and tracking of application and redemption documentation
  • Process transactions across unlisted assets, including trade instructions, payments, confirmations, and capital calls
  • Administer both custodial and non-custodial managed fund activities, acting as a key liaison between clients, custodians, and fund managers
  • Monitor and reconcile cash and asset positions, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Manage ongoing AML/KYC refresh requirements and respond to fund manager or custodian requests
  • Support daily pricing, income processing, and capital activity tracking for unlisted assets
  • Respond to client and internal queries promptly, providing high-quality support and escalating issues where required

Culture & Benefits Include

  • Hybrid work arrangement: Minimum of 1 day per week in the office, the team anchor day is Wednesday, but we encourage you to work as many days as possible from the office (additional days on-site will be required until training in the role is completed)
  • Permanent contract
  • The role is eligible for up to 10% of a variable bonus annually
  • Great office location at 367 Collins Street
  • Annual leave + paid volunteer leave
  • Professional development, stretch opportunities and annual development plans
  • Monthly social events, team lunches and annual celebrations
  • Access to health & wellbeing programs, flu shots and EAP
  • Employee recognition programs (peer awards, monthly and annual recognition)
