Description

PLI (Powerlift Industries) is a Karratha, Pilbara based leading service provider in the Mining and Resource industries, an expanding business.

We require Industrial Blaster / Painter’s to join our team working across our Karratha based facility and on site. This role is open to candidates local to the Karratha/Dampier area and is available on a permanent full time or casual basis with an immediate start.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a great team in a rapidly expanding business.

You will be working a base Monday – Friday work cycle with the opportunity to work overtime and throughout various Pilbara sites.

This is a residential role in Karratha. PLI will consider applicants willing to relocate to Karratha and reside in shared company housing.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Previous experience as a Blaster/Painter in an industrial setting
  • Knowledge of different surface preparation and coating techniques
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to Work Autonomously as well in a team
  • Able to follow instructions and show initiative
  • All-round experience is preferred including remedial works, 3 years mine site experience will be highly regarded
  • Allocate and supervise equipment repair works to a good standard on company owned equipment.
  • Ensure that the highest Safety Standards are met for the facility and its employees.
  • Able to lead and allocate works based on site requirements.
  • The ability to supervise people and provide sound leadership.
  • Focused on maintaining a clean and safe working environment as well as continuous improvement and conducting all work in accordance with quality and ISO standards.
  • Safety and process-focused, and willing to input and continually improve the process.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reside in Karratha, Dampier or surrounding areas.
  • Trades Certificate (highly desirable)
  • Conventional and Airless experience (mandatory)
  • Proof of Right to work in Australia (mandatory)
  • Current and Valid Australian HR Drivers Licence (highly desirable)
  • WP High Risk Work Licence (highly desirable)
  • MSIC (highly desirable)
  • WAH (desirable)
  • White Card (desirable)
  • Excellent attitude to safety
  • Flexible attitude to work within all our crews and to assist with other duties outside your scope
  • Successful applicant is required to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing
