Description

PLI (Powerlift Industries) is a Karratha, Pilbara based leading service provider in the Mining and Resource industries, an expanding business.

We require experienced Carpenter’s that are local to Karratha to join our Core Crew team on a permanent or casual basis. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a great team in a rapidly expanding business.

You will be based at our Workshop and required to work at various sites throughout the Pilbara.

This is a residential role in Karratha. PLI will consider applicants willing to relocate to Karratha and reside in shared company housing.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:

  • Applying problem-solving in a methodical and considered way
  • Strong skills in second fix carpentry highly regarded
  • Experience in formwork and carpentry
  • Understanding in fit outs and refurbishments
  • Customer focused individuals
  • Self-motivated, able to work unsupervised, and committed to safety and quality

ABOUT YOU:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience (mandatory)
  • Excellent attitude to safety
  • Flexible attitude to work within all our crews and to assist with other duties outside your scope
  • Able to Work Autonomously as well in a team
  • Able to follow instructions and show initiative
  • Safety and process-focused, and willing to input and continually improve the process

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proof of Right to work in Australia (mandatory)
  • Current and Valid Australian Drivers Licence (HR class highly desirable)
  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (mandatory)
  • Working at Heights, EWP and LF tickets (highly desirable)
  • Rio Tinto, FMG, BHP, Roy Hill and Yara inducted (desirable)
  • MSIC (desirable)
  • White Card (mandatory)
  • Excellent attitude to safety
  • Flexible attitude to work within all our crews and to assist with other duties outside your scope
  • Successful applicant is required to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing
