Porter Plant, a leading name in equipment maintenance management and dry hire of plant, equipment, and light commercial vehicles, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Trades Assistant to join our Cambrian Hill workshop.
About the Role
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will apply your skills and expertise to perform tasks as directed, ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have extensive experience in a similar role
• Possess strong attention to detail and take pride in their craft
• Be skilled in working with Heavy Plant and Equipment
• Demonstrate excellent component identification and forecasting abilities
• Have the ability to dismantle and reassemble equipment for repair
• Be IT-savvy, capable of receiving and completing work orders
• Follow directions and adhere to internal processes and procedures
• Maintain a safe and efficient work pace
• Be a team player who respects the workshop and colleagues
