About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Podiatrist to deliver comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions.
This role involves working with a diverse client base, including individuals requiring preventative care, chronic disease management, and injury rehabilitation. You will play a key role in improving mobility, comfort, and quality of life through evidence-based podiatric care.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnosis & Assessment
- Conduct thorough assessments of the feet and lower extremities to diagnose conditions such as deformities, injuries, infections, wounds, and chronic disease-related complications
- Order and interpret diagnostic investigations including imaging and pathology where appropriate
Treatment Planning & Intervention
- Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based treatment plans
- Provide podiatric treatments including wound care, nail and skin care, biomechanical assessments, and orthotic prescription
- Prescribe medications, exercises, and preventative strategies as required
- Patient Education
- Educate clients on foot health, injury prevention, footwear selection, and lifestyle modifications
- Promote self-management strategies to support long-term foot and lower limb health
- Follow-Up & Ongoing Care
- Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust care plans to ensure optimal results
- Provide ongoing review and preventative care to support mobility and independence
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, case notes, and reports in line with regulatory and organisational requirements
- Collaboration & Professional Practice
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including GPs, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and other allied health professionals
- Refer clients to appropriate specialists when required
Governance & Compliance
- Practice in accordance with professional, ethical, and legislative standards
- Comply with all relevant clinical governance, safety, and quality frameworks
Other
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the ongoing functioning of People First Workforce and InOne Healthcare
About You
You are a professional who is:
- Clinically confident and committed to evidence-based podiatric care
- Person-centred, professional, and outcomes-focused
- Highly organised with strong documentation and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and within a multidisciplinary environment
You will also have:
- Bachelor of Podiatry (or equivalent)
- Current AHPRA registration as a Podiatrist
- Experience planning, implementing, and evaluating innovative, evidence-based clinical services
