About the Role
Peach Tree is expanding across Queensland, and we’re looking for a dedicated Regional Leader to support a team of Lived Experience Peer Workers. In this newly created role, you will lead a small team in providing a trauma informed, welcoming, non-judgemental and child friendly environment for mothers, fathers and caregivers to connect, discuss and address perinatal mental health and parenting challenges freely and openly. The Regional Leader reports directly to the Regional Manager.

Hours: Permanent part-time opportunity – 32 hours across Monday-Friday (flexible)

Pay: $51 per hour + super + salary packaging (SCHADs Level 5)
What You’ll Do

Lead & Empower: Support a team of Lived Experience Peer Workers, providing mentorship, reflective practice, and leadership to ensure high-quality service delivery. You’ll build a positive and inclusive team culture that aligns with Peach Tree’s values.

Build Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with healthcare professionals and community organisations to build referral pathways and meet regional priorities.

Deliver Services: Lead the delivery of mental health peer support groups; parenting programs; psychosocial education, in 1:1 and group settings to help parents heal and build resilience.

Support Growth: Encourage engagement from expecting parents/parents who may have barriers to access supports, offering a supportive environment for parents to find their village and feel better supported in their parenting confidence.
About You
- Have lived experience of mental health challenges related to pregnancy, childbirth, or early parenthood, and feel ready to use this experience purposefully
- Strong leadership in mental health peer work, with a reflective and supportive leadership style
- Previous experience working in an Identified Lived Experience role, and familiarity with National and State Lived Experience Frameworks and Guidelines
- A relevant qualification (such as the Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or Intentional Peer Support) would be considered favourably
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check), National Police Check, and Pertussis (Whooping Cough) vaccination
