About the role
The role is supporting Jack, a 36-year-old man who supported on a 3 -1 support ratio and moving into his own home in Bournemouth. He has a diagnosed learning disability, is deaf and can present with behaviours that challenge. We are therefore looking for individuals who have proven experience in supporting individuals with similar needs to Jack, so they can understand his needs fully, know how to communicate with him and help him navigate his wants and needs effectively.
Jack communicates using British Sign Language and team members should possess a level 3 in British Sign Language and be confident in using this whilst supporting him.
Jack is looking for active team members who enjoy spending time outdoors and can support and encourage him to take part in activities. He loves attending clubs for deaf people, going fishing and eating out with his sister and team members.
Jack needs support with personal care, medication, and household tasks to maintain his independence and live his best life.

PBS4 is a values led social care organisation, providing Neurodisability Services to individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism and/or behaviours that may challenge. We support people living in their own homes, with their own tenancies, and we utilise Positive Behaviour Support as the framework for the support we provide.
