Located within the vibrant Manly Pacific precinct, Cibaria Manly is a large-scale Italian dining destination offering all-day dining, café service, bars, events, and premium hospitality experiences inspired by the same commitment to Italian hospitality that has made a’Mare one of Sydney’s most celebrated restaurants.

We are seeking professional and passionate Section Waiters with experience in premium dining environments to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for hospitality professionals looking to develop their careers within an established and expanding hospitality group.

About the Role

As a Section Waiter, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while managing your own section during service. You will work closely with venue leadership to ensure guests receive attentive, knowledgeable, and professional service from arrival through to departure.

Employment Opportunities

Full-Time

  • Salary: $79,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation

Casual

  • Hospitality Industry General Award (HIGA) rates apply, including applicable penalty rates and public holiday loadings

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional food and beverage service to the highest standards
  • Manage a designated service section during breakfast, lunch, dinner, and event services
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
  • Provide menu recommendations and confidently explain menu items and beverages
  • Make food and wine pairing recommendations to enhance the guest experience
  • Build positive guest relationships and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction
  • Maintain venue presentation and cleanliness standards
  • Process guest requests and feedback professionally
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen, bar, reservations, and management teams
  • Assist with table resetting and venue preparation
  • Follow Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements and venue procedures

Minimum Requirements

  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Current NSW RSA Certificate
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends, evenings, and public holidaysDiploma of Hospitality Management and/or a minimum of 1–3 years’ relevant full-time work experience in a premium dining restaurant, hotel, or hospitality venue
  • Demonstrated experience delivering high-quality food and beverage service in a premium dining environment
  • Strong understanding of restaurant service standards, guest engagement, and table service etiquette
  • Ability to confidently explain menu items, beverages, and make food and wine recommendations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Impeccable personal presentation
  • Availability to work a rotating roster including weekends, evenings, and public holidays

Preferred (Not Essential)

  • Experience within Italian restaurants, premium hotels, hatted restaurants, or high-volume premium dining venues
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine and wine
  • Experience using SevenRooms (7R) or similar reservation systems
  • Additional language skills, particularly Italian
  • Hospitality qualifications
