Some marketing jobs sell products.
This one helps shape futures.
At Parkerville Children and Youth Care, we believe
children and young people deserve to feel safe to dream, thrive, and reach
their fullest potential. For more than 120 years, we’ve worked alongside
children, young people and families across Western Australia, supporting
healing, growth and hope after trauma and adversity.
Now, we’re looking for a Manager, Marketing and
Communications to lead the next chapter of our brand and communications
journey.
This is not a “keep the socials ticking over” kind
of role. This is a strategic leadership opportunity for
someone who understands how marketing can build trust, grow awareness,
strengthen partnerships, influence public perception and inspire action.
About you:
You’ll lead a small but passionate team delivering
marketing and communications across a diverse and complex organisation, from specialist
education and early intervention to community services, advocacy and fundraising.
You’ll work across campaigns, digital,
storytelling, media, brand, donor engagement and community awareness, bringing
consistency and clarity to a busy and varied workplan.
Some days you’ll shape a major campaign.
Other days you’ll help tell a story that changes
how people understand children who have experienced trauma.
We’re looking for someone who can think
strategically, write brilliantly, bring calm to complexity, and help us
continue building a modern, respected and courageous brand.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead the development and delivery of
Parkerville’s integrated marketing and communications activity, aligning work
across different services, teams and audiences.
This includes:
- Brand
and campaign strategy
- Content
and storytelling
- Media
and public relations
- Social
media and digital marketing
- Donor
and supporter communications
- Website
and content management
- Marketing
analytics and reporting
- Agency
and supplier management
- Team
leadership and mentoring
You’ll guide the team to deliver consistent,
high-quality work, prioritising competing demands, keeping projects on track,
and making sure everything reflets our values.
You communication style will be strengths-based,
hopeful, authentic and deeply respectful of the children, young people and
families we support.
About you
You’re likely someone who:
- Has
5+ years’ experience in marketing, communications or brand leadership,
including 3+ years in a leadership or people management role
- Knows
how to balance strategy with execution
- Understands
digital marketing, content and audience engagement
- Knows
how to combine strong human judgement with modern content and
communication tools
- Can
manage competing priorities without losing the plot (or your sense of
humour)
- Can
turn a rough idea into compelling copy
- Builds
strong relationships across teams and stakeholders
- Isn’t
afraid to challenge ideas respectfully when needed
- Cares
about purpose, but also cares about doing the work properly
Experience in complex or purpose-led organisations
is an advantage, particularly where coordination, prioritisation and delivering
across multiple workstreams is required. What matters most is that you’re thoughtful,
capable and aligned with our values.
Why Parkerville?
Because the work matters.
But also because the people do.
We’re ambitious about the future – across our
services, our school, and our role in advocacy – and realistic about the
challenges.
We care deeply about children and young people,
but we also care about each other. You’ll join a smart, supportive and
genuinely committed team that values curiosity, courage, accountability and
kindness.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape meaningful
work, contribute strategically, and lead a team delivering marketing,
communications, advocacy and brand activity across the organisation – bringing
structure and clarity to a diverse and fast-moving workload.
And yes, there’s room for creativity, fresh
thinking and big ideas.
Interested?
We’d love to hear from people who can bring both
heart and capability to the role.
To apply, please submit your CV and a cover letter
outlining why this role interests you and what you’d bring to the team.
Applications close at 9:00 AM on Thursday 11 June.
Interviews on Tuesday 16 June.
