OzHarvest is a leading food rescue organisation on a mission to ‘Nourish our Country’ by stopping good food from going to waste and delivering it to charities that help feed people in need. Through our education programs and our advocacy work, we hope to inspire others to change behaviour and help reach the national target of halving food waste by 2030.
About the role:
We are seeking a joyful storyteller and confident relationship-builder for the role of Queensland Engagement Manager. This position will be responsible for identifying, pursuing and converting funding and engagement relationships to support OzHarvest Queensland’s food rescue, education and engagement operations. You’ll bring commercial sharpness, high ethics, and a passion for connecting partners to our mission. This position is part time (0.8FTE) with option for flexibility of working hours/days.
What will you get to do?
- Build and nurture meaningful relationships with corporate, Government and philanthropic partners across Queensland
- Drive Queensland’s Engagement and Fundraising strategy in line with revenue and profit targets
- Balance external opportunities and negotiate deliverables based on internal capacity, working closely with our frontline team to ensure strong outcomes
- Lead, support and energise our people and teams
- Bring OzHarvest’s story to life through events, communications and digital marketing with authenticity and passion
About you
- A confident, commercially-minded relationship builder with a natural ability to read a room, assess opportunity sensibly, and close with integrity
- Demonstrated experience in Fundraising (Corporate & Private) including grants, donations, bequests, Trusts, Foundations, and 6-figure funding negotiations
- Broad stakeholder experience across all levels; equally comfortable at a tradeshow event as you are in a boardroom
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent workplace experience
- Proficient with CRM software and MS Office (Salesforce and MS Excel highly regarded)
