We are seeing an individual with experience in or exposure to a similar industry as a Stock Controller
Reporting to the Distribution Manager, the Stock Controller’s primary focus is to:
- Implement and execute effective inventory control procedures across the Production Group, ensuring high levels of inventory accuracy through systematic counts, reconciliation, corrections & record-keeping for a vast range of raw material items & stock SKU’s
- Develop, implement and maintain a robust cycle counting program across all assigned production & distribution sites, ensuring stock integrity and timely visibility of inventory
- Use the available tools and resources to thoroughly investigate each instance of reported out of stocks and/or reported stock discrepancies, and take same day action to thoroughly investigate & identify root cause trends whilst implementing corrective and preventative actions
- Regularly audit Production work groups to ensure the Oxworks Operating System is followed without deviation to achieve process accuracy and successful Branch order fulfilment
- Focus on continuous improvement, efficiency improvement and waste reduction through commitment to LEAN principles, in turn improving accountability requirements by all staff
- Implement and execute directives that support the business strategy
In summary, the Stock Controller is responsible for providing the structure and discipline for
effective stock control within the Production group, ensuring accurate and efficient management of
all materials, products and finished goods. This role is crucial for credibility of data, accurate
replenishment, minimising waste and supporting production flow, directly contributing a standard of
operational excellence
What You Need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain management (Preferred)
- Current Driver’s License
- Demonstrated experience in inventory planning within a large manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles
- Strong communication, problem solving and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively across multiple sites and operational teams
