Description

Oxworks is Australia’s largest privately owned manufacturer and distributor of quality fencing products with over 300 staff across 21 locations nationally. Operating for over 20 years, we continue to be a market leader in the industry.

We are seeking a highly motivated person for a full-time customer service position in our Dandenong South branch operating 7am – 4pm Monday to Friday. We have 2 Positions available.

The Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Sales Officer’s primary focus is to:

  • Always provide exceptional customer service to the Oxworks’ client base
  • Receive, interpret and satisfy all points of customer enquiry (retail, trade & walk-in), providing quotes as required and ultimately converting these quotes professionally and efficiently into Sales Orders and ultimately Sales Invoices
  • Provide support to the branch network within the State through actioning overflow phone and email enquiry that an individual branch cannot service
  • Liaise with other branch and warehouse staff daily to achieve 100% DIFOT with each customer order as required
  • Effectively respond to customer issues and feedback resolving in the best interests of Oxworks
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts
  • Promote a harmonious environment with company departments to foster a positive and can-do approach to servicing the needs of Oxworks customers above the needs of a single department or Branch
  • Source data on competitor activity, general market conditions, new product opportunities and general pricing movements in the market
  • Work to reinforce the company’s Vision, Mission and Values

In summary, the Sales Officer is a key person in the Oxworks sales operation and is the conduit between the customer and the manufacturing facility, focussing on 100% DIFOT on all orders.

The Applicant

The Ideal Candidate will have knowledge of and experience with:

  • Sales experience in a manufacturing industry (preferable)
  • Great customer service skills
  • Experience using MS Office, CRM software’s and ERP systems (preferable)
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills, people & communication skills
  • Demonstrated accountability and reliability
