Oxworks is Australia’s largest privately owned manufacturer and distributor of quality fencing products with over 300 staff across 21 locations nationally. Operating for over 20 years, we continue to be a market leader in the industry.
We are looking for self-motivated experienced Machine Operators to join our manufacturing facility in Crestmead. This position requires a minimum of 38 hours per week, plus overtime as required, Mon-Fri 6am-2pm.
The Role:
Reporting to Manufacturing Manager & Supervisor, the Alumatex Operator’s primary focus is to:
- Actively participate in the day-to-day activities of the technical machinery workgroup with a focus on but not limited to Decoral Machine (Alumatex), focusing on safety, quality, productivity and efficiency, ensuring all products are produced within approved tolerances and to the required quality standards
- Achieve daily production targets whilst minimising unnecessary reworks
- Improve efficiency through accountability to standard operating procedures (including LEAN) and deliver high productivity whilst maintaining Oxworks processes
- Complete daily maintenance and cleaning of machinery to assist up time of operations
- Promote teamwork within the manufacturing workgroup to ensure all staff are working to a common goal of exceeding customer expectations
- Promote a harmonious environment with the Q1 Team to foster a positive and can-do approach to servicing the needs of Oxworks customers above the needs of a single department
- Ensure company Safety Policies & maintain Safety Systems at all times
Implement and execute directives that support the business strategy
In summary, the Alumatex Operator is a valued person in the technical machinery workgroup and is responsible for providing the consistency and quality assurance to the relevant product and operations whilst meeting daily production targets.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in working in a team environment within manufacturing
- Experience operating and maintaining other machinery
- Good communication skills
- Good time Management
- Current Driver’s License
- Current Forklift License (Required)
- Current First Aid Certificate (preferred)
