The Role We are seeking an experienced Inventory & Loss Prevention Manager to lead and strengthen inventory integrity, shrink reduction and risk mitigation across our retail network in Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to the Head of Retail Operations, this role plays a critical part in delivering Oroton’s Loss Prevention strategy through strong governance, data-led insights and operational excellence. You will work cross-functionally with teams across Retail, Merchandise, Supply Chain, Finance and People & Culture, influencing behaviours and driving accountability at every level of the business.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role based in our Sydney Support Office in Chippendale, with national travel required across our retail network.

 

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the implementation of Oroton’s Loss Prevention roadmap, driving strategic initiatives and continuous improvement
  • Deliver national shrink reduction strategies and oversee inventory accuracy across all channels (Retail, Outlet and Concession)
  • Manage stocktake and cycle count programs, including high-risk SKU monitoring and variance analysis
  • Identify root causes of stock discrepancies and provide actionable insights to improve processes and performance
  • Develop and maintain Loss Prevention policies, SOPs and governance frameworks
  • Lead compliance audits and embed accountability across store teams and leadership
  • Oversee incident management processes, ensuring timely reporting, investigation and resolution
  • Build strong partnerships with centre security, police and external stakeholders
  • Produce reporting and dashboards to track shrink, risk, audit outcomes and operational performance
  • Partner cross-functionally to support investigations, store operations and network-wide initiatives

 

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in Inventory Management and/or Loss Prevention, ideally within retail, fashion or multi-site environments
  • Demonstrated success in reducing shrink and improving operational compliance
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into clear actions
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders across stores and support office
  • Experience managing incidents, investigations and working with external authorities
  • Ability to coach, train and uplift capability across a retail network
  • High level of integrity, discretion and sound judgement
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset
