Description

Kitchen Assistant

This role involves helping serve meals, completing cleaning tasks, and generally supporting the daily operations of the kitchen. It will be a mix of tasks helping the kitchen in all facets of daily operations, such as serving, cleaning, and other tasks, while meeting all HACCP and OHS requirements.

Key Tasks

• Ensuring that the servery is set up correctly for the dining period

• Checking for Food Safety compliance

• Ensuring that the food is always fresh and inviting

• Assisting Kitchen staff with various servery tasks as required

• Supporting kitchen team with work as required

• Maintaining cleanliness of work areas and reporting of any hazards, faulty or damaged equipment

• Ensuring all equipment is clean and in good working order

• Ensuring all pots, pans, utensils, dinnerware, crockery, cutlery, glassware, etc. are clean

• Ensuring that floors are swept and mopped. Keep floors clean and dry, spills are picked up immediately using wet floor signs, dry rags, and dry mops

• Checking that all foods are correctly stored

• Cleaning walls, tables, racks, sinks, floor mats and disposal area

• Cleaning and polish stainless steel

• Cleaning the hall and servery areas after each service

• Cleaning to a high standard

• Taking pride in your area ensuring it looks its absolute best

• Other duties as directed by Leadership
