Description

The Organisation & The Role

We’re a real estate tech startup that’s reinventing the way property is transacted in Australia. We have a bucketload of passion for the work we do which means we punch well above our weight as one of Australia’s fastest-growing companies. We’re looking for hard-working individuals who will bring their passion and rigour to the OpenAgent team to be a part of its growth and success.

This role sits at the intersection of product management and growth marketing. We’ve spent the last year building our baseline agent products to a strong standard. Now we need someone to roll out an existing roadmap, increase agent sign-ups, and drive measurable adoption of our key agent products.

This means you will need to be comfortable with email marketing and understanding campaign metrics. You’re excited about seeing customer numbers go up, and know that you’ve caused it.

You are data-minded, and make decisions based on real data inputs. You’ll work alongside an inhouse data team to make sure your product collects the right signals for you to interpret, and deliver insights based on that data.

Your responsibilities include:

Product Delivery

  • Delivering the existing agent product roadmap, taking ideas from concept through to launch.
  • Gather requirements, write specifications and manage testing and quality assurance
  • Design simple, intuitive user interfaces via wireframes (e.g Figma or similar)
  • Manage rollout, including timing and communications to internal and external stakeholders
  • Working with engineers to ensure the right solution is delivered on time.
  • Increasing agent sign-up numbers for key agent products in line with targets

Growth

  • Drive agent sign-ups to key products through targeted email campaigns and trigger-based outreach
  • Build and maintain a regular email cadence to engage prospective agents
  • Review and refresh the agent sign-up page to improve conversion
  • Monitor campaign metrics and iterate based on performance data

Data and reporting

  • Monitor agent performance data and report insights to the working group
  • Work alongside the in-house data team to ensure products collect the right signals
  • Document and maintain a map of all communications sent to agents

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 12 months of product management experience
  •  Experience working directly with an engineering team to ship product
  •  A data-driven mindset. You make decisions based on real inputs, not assumptions
  •  Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal
  •  A high degree of autonomy and a positive attitude
  •  Experience using email tools and writing conversion-focused copy
  •  Experience with wireframing

Benefits and Culture

  • Work from home – we are a remote-first company with team members spread across Australia
  • Compensation – we offer competitive salaries that are in line with the market.
  • Autonomy – we’re not into micro-managing.  We are all professionals and we trust that you will always strive to do your best work.
  • Birthday leave – enjoy an extra day of paid leave to celebrate your birthday!
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • OA Days- team members are given a bonus 2 or 3 paid leave days a year (depending on tenure) to use towards whatever they’d like (following completion of a qualifying period)
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

You’ll report to a Senior Product Manager and work day-to-day with our engineering, data, and business operations teams. We’re a collaborative, low-ego team that values ownership, clear communication, and shipping things that make a measurable difference.

We have a hybrid work environment where we’re remote first, but we do have offices in Sydney where people can come in to work if they wish.

Who are we?

We’re OpenAgent — and it’s our mission to make it easier for Australians to buy, sell and own property.

We started in 2013 with the goal to improve transparency around real estate and to make it easier to find a trusted real estate agent. Selling a home is a big deal and this is why it’s the first problem we set out to solve. We’re on a mission to help all Australians achieve their real estate dreams and bring back the joy of homeownership.

Besides being a friendly, inclusive and flexible workplace, we’re also led by an incredibly capable and humble executive team. We’re all about bringing on high-quality people and giving them all the room in the world to do great work and grow.

We have a bucketload of passion for the work we do which means we do more with less and punch well above our weight. You’ll be joining a team made up of people at the top of their game, who work collaboratively to achieve some big goals.

We help thousands of people every month improve their experiences in real estate. We bring more information, better insight and an independent voice to the property transaction, helping people sell smarter, better and faster every day.

As the people’s champion in real estate, we bring passion and analytic rigour to the biggest problems in the industry. We make a lot of things happen, we make them happen fast and as a team.

We work hard but we have fun doing it. At the end of the day, achieving big things with an awesome team is what makes this journey exciting.
