About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will assist participants in maintaining independence, building daily living skills, and achieving personal goals in a safe and supportive environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting personal care routines such as hygiene and grooming
  • Assisting with daily living activities in participant homes
  • Facilitating community participation including appointments and social activities
  • Implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies (PBSP
  • Preparing meals and supporting safe eating practices
  • Providing medication assistance as directed in care plans
  • Encouraging routine, skill development, and independence

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred support aligned with individual goals
  • Promote independence and confidence through structured routines
  • Deliver personal care and daily living assistance
  • Follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans where required
  • Complete accurate progress notes and documentation
  • Adherent to compliance, safety, and organisational procedures
  • Communicate effectively with coordinators and team members

Availability Expectations:

  • Flexibility across various shift types (day, evening, active overnight)
  • Ability to travel between participant locations when required
  • Reliable and consistent approach to scheduled shifts
  • Professional communication and proactive work ethic

Mandatory Requirements:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module
  • NDIS Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals Module
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certification
  • Medication competency or willingness to obtain
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to an insured vehicle
