Are you a strategic thinker who understands how brand authority is built in today’s search and AI-driven landscape? Do you enjoy turning data, insights, and narratives into campaigns that earn real visibility, credibility, and impact?

As a Digital PR Strategist at Online Marketing Gurus, you will be responsible for designing, shaping, and guiding high-impact Digital PR strategies for our clients, many of whom are already investing in SEO and looking to take their authority to the next level.

This is a consulting role focused on strategy, planning, campaign design, and performance oversight. You will not be responsible for producing assets yourself; instead, you’ll work closely with Project Managers and the Delivery team who execute the creative, outreach, and technical components of your strategies.

You will sit within the Organic team, reporting directly to our Global Head of SEO, with a dotted line to the Head of Delivery, ensuring strong alignment between strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

Digital PR Strategy & Planning

  • Creating end-to-end Digital PR strategies (including detailed campaign plans) aligned with client business goals & user behaviour.
  • Translating research, data, and insights into clear campaign narratives, angles, and positioning.
  • Defining campaign themes, priority topics, messaging frameworks, and success metrics.

Campaign Design & Oversight

  • Designing data-led, thought leadership, reactive, and evergreen Digital PR campaigns.
  • Producing detailed briefs for content, design, outreach, and technical implementation teams.
  • Guiding campaign execution alongside Project Managers, ensuring strategic intent is maintained throughout delivery.
  • Supporting outreach strategies by defining target publication tiers, audiences, and relevance criteria.

Performance Monitoring & Optimisation

  • Monitoring campaign performance across authority links, brand mentions, traffic, visibility, and SEO/GEO signals.
  • Interpreting results to refine strategy, improve future campaigns, and demonstrate impact.

Research & Market Intelligence

  • Conducting market, competitor, and media landscape research to uncover opportunities.
  • Using social listening, media monitoring, and SEO tools to identify trends, topics, and reactive PR opportunities.
  • Staying at the forefront of changes in search, AI, generative engines, and digital media.

Client & Internal Collaboration

  • Acting as the strategic Digital PR lead for assigned clients.
  • Collaborating closely with Account Managers, SEO strategists, Project Managers, and members of our Delivery team.
  • Contributing to the evolution of OMG’s Digital PR frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.

To be successful in this role, you will have

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in PR, Digital PR, Content Marketing or Digital Marketing, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Proven experience contributing to or running digital-led PR campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Online media and editorial standards
  • Digital PR placements and authority-building tactics
  • Content strategy and briefing
  • SEO fundamentals and how PR supports organic growth
  • Confidence in creating clear, actionable briefs for creative and delivery teams.
  • Experience tracking campaign performance and extracting insights.
  • Comfort using modern tools for media monitoring, social listening, market and competitor research, website analytics, and more.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strategic, curious, and commercially minded approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail.
