The Role

We’re looking for an experienced UC Engineer to design, deploy and support unified communications and telephony solutions for our clients. You’ll work across a mix of cloud and on-premises voice platforms, partner closely with our pre-sales and project teams, and play a key role in delivering high-quality voice outcomes for government and enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure and deploy UC and voice solutions including Microsoft Teams Calling, Cisco Webex Calling, and SIP-based platforms
  • Implement and manage SIP trunking, session border controllers, dial plans, call routing and number porting
  • Integrate voice platforms with Telstra carriage services and third-party contact centre solutions
  • Lead voice migrations from legacy PBX systems to cloud-based platforms
  • Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshoot complex voice and call quality issues
  • Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation including low-level designs and as-builts
  • Collaborate with pre-sales teams to design solutions and contribute to client-facing presentations and technical discussions

What You Will Bring

  • 4+ years’ experience in voice/UC engineering within an MSP, telco or enterprise environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Calling (Direct Routing and/or Operator Connect) and/or Cisco UC platforms
  • Solid understanding of SIP, RTP, QoS, codecs, and voice troubleshooting tools
  • Experience with SBCs (AudioCodes, Ribbon or similar)
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals as they relate to voice (VLANs, QoS, firewall traversal)
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (ASD Essential Eight preferred)
  • Australian Citizenship (preferred — required for some government engagements)

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Voice Engineer Expert
  • Cisco CCNP Collaboration
  • Experience with Genesys, Five9 or similar contact centre platforms
  • Telstra carriage and TIPT experience
