The Role
We’re seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy and support infrastructure and cloud solutions across our client base. You’ll work on greenfield deployments, complex migrations, and ongoing managed services engagements, with exposure to a wide range of technologies and clients including government, education and corporate accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy server, storage and virtualisation solutions aligned to client requirements and industry best practices
- Perform migrations to cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance
- Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation including low-level designs and as-builts
- Proactive administration of on-premise and cloud infrastructure including the deployment of patches, firmware updates, and configuration changes in accordance with established change management processes
- Monitor infrastructure health using monitoring tools, and respond to alerts to ensure system availability, performance, and security
- Provide L2/L3 support, root-cause analysis and incident response
- Assist with training, mentoring, and support L1/L2 ICT Support Engineers.
- Collaborate with pre-sales teams to design solutions and contribute to client-facing presentations and technical discussions
What You’ll Bring
- 4+ years’ experience in infrastructure engineering within an MSP, integrator or enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
- Strong understanding of VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V
- Sound knowledge of Storage solutions (SAN/NAS) and backup platforms
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing, firewalls)
- Hands-on experience with RMM/PSA platforms (Autotask, Datto, Kaseya, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (ASD Essential Eight preferred)
- Australian Citizenship (preferred — required for some government engagements)
Nice to Have
- Experience contributing to or delivering infrastructure projects within structured project frameworks
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Veeam, or equivalent)
- Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Python, Ansible)
- Exposure to in-vehicle computing or operational technology environments
