We’re currently seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to support our Finance Team during March-May 2026. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative environment during a busy period.

ROLE HIGHLIGHTS:

The key purpose of this role is to manage the accurate and timely processing and payment of vendor invoices and expense claims for North Queensland Airports (NQA).

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Process vendor invoices, including oversight of invoice workflow through NQA’s Technology One system and correct GST handling,

• Support users of the Technology One system across the business,

• Facilitate the payment of vendor invoices for Cairns and Mackay Airports and associated entities in line with agreed terms and deadlines,

• Respond to internal and external queries regarding vendor accounts,

• Maintain and manage the vendor data and accounts payable ledger in Technology One,

• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and preparation of payment journals,

• Contribute to cashflow management, including the preparation of daily cash forecasts,

• Provide general administrative and financial support to the Finance Team as needed,

• Support continuous improvement of financial systems and processes, particularly with Technology One workflow.

ABOUT YOU:

• Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role is desirable

• Confident navigating financial systems and strong IT literacy

• Experience with Technology One (TechOne) or other large ERP systems and procurement workflows will be highly regarded.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven relationship-building and interpersonal skills

• Confident in problem solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation

• Excellent time management, task prioritisation, and organisational skills

• A strong commitment to teamwork and customer service
