Construction Trades – Underground Services

Regional Queensland | FIFO | Long-Term Ongoing Work

2 weeks on / 1 week off roster | Flights, meals & accommodation included | All-inclusive hourly rate

Are you an experienced underground construction operator, or looking to further develop your expertise, looking for stable, long-term work with a great roster and all the trimmings taken care of? This is your chance to join a well-established Fill & Services team on a major underground mining operation in regional Queensland.

The Role

You’ll play a critical role in supporting underground operations — from bulkhead construction and ventilation installation to paste reticulation, stop logs, and concrete works. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in getting the job done safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Day to day you’ll be:

  • Installing concrete slabs, pads and other civil works
  • Carrying out handheld drilling and service pin installation
  • Installing temporary and permanent stop logs and all types of bulkheads
  • Installing ventilation fans and maintaining paste reticulation systems
  • Conducting pre-start checks and reporting on tools and equipment
  • Working closely with your supervisor and the broader Fill & Services team
  • Keeping safety front and centre in everything you do

What You’ll Need

  • Light Vehicle tickets and a current Australian Driver’s Licence (must have)
  • Current First Aid, CPR and Fire training (must have)
  • Desirable: Working at heights certification
  • Desirable: Trade certification (plumbing, carpentry, boilermaking, building, concreting)

You’ll also need to be a strong communicator, a good problem-solver, and someone who’s comfortable making sound decisions within your own authority when working unsupervised.
