As a growing organisation, our National Support Office plays a vital role in supporting our clinics and teams across the business. We’re looking for an experienced Finance & Payroll Officer – Payroll Specialist to join our collaborative and supportive team based in Robina.

The Role

This role has a strong focus on payroll processing, payroll compliance, and finance administration, ensuring our teams are supported through accurate, timely, and efficient payroll and finance operations.

Working closely with Finance, HR, and operational leaders, you’ll play an important role in maintaining smooth day-to-day payroll processes while supporting broader finance and systems functions across the business.

This is a hybrid position offering flexibility between office and remote working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end payroll processing on a fortnightly cycle
  • Interpreting and applying Modern Awards, payroll legislation, NES requirements, tax, and superannuation obligations
  • Managing payroll changes including new starters, terminations, leave adjustments, allowances, and deductions
  • Processing contractor payments accurately and on time
  • Reconciling payroll each cycle and maintaining accurate payroll records
  • Responding to payroll-related queries from employees and leadership
  • Supporting finance administration including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
  • Managing finance and payroll inboxes and responding within agreed turnaround times
  • Supporting payroll audits, compliance processes, and systems improvements
  • Assisting with payroll and rostering integrations, process improvements, and HR system support
  • Collaborating closely with Finance, HR, and Operations teams to improve workflows and accuracy

About You

You’re highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing payroll and finance processes within a busy and growing business environment.

You’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in a Payroll Officer, Finance Officer, or similar payroll-focused role
  • Strong end-to-end payroll processing experience
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Modern Awards, payroll legislation, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Experience using payroll and accounting systems, including Xero
  • Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Highly Regarded

  • Experience within healthcare, dental, or multi-site environments
  • Employment Hero knowledge, particularly payroll integration experience
  • Experience with Deputy or other rostering/time & attendance systems
  • Understanding of HRIS and payroll system integrations
