Description

We’re looking for experienced, reliable Disability Support Workers who provide steady, respectful support and enjoy working in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment.

If you’re someone who values routine, consistency, and helping people build real independence in their everyday lives — this role is a great fit.

This is purposeful, home‑based support, working directly with residents in SIL houses across and in the community around The Hills and Hawksbury regions.

❤️ What You’ll Be Doing

In SIL, your support becomes part of someone’s daily life — and their long‑term growth.

You’ll be:

  • Delivering consistent, person‑centred support within a stable SIL environment
  • Assisting with personal care, hygiene routines, mealtimes, and daily living
  • Supporting overnight routines through sleepover shifts, ensuring safety and reassurance
  • Helping residents build independence through household tasks like cooking, cleaning, and planning their day
  • Encouraging participation in meaningful routines, activities, and community involvement
  • Maintaining a calm, predictable environment that supports comfort and confidence
  • Contributing to long‑term improvements in independence and overall quality of life

Some moments are simple. Some are busy. All of it has purpose.

❤️ What You’ll Bring

You’re not here for the fluff — you’re here because you genuinely care and have the experience to back it up.

You’re likely someone who has:

  • Proven experience in disability support (SIL experience a bonus)
  • Confidence supporting participants with personal care and daily routines
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to guide residents through structured routines
  • Genuine reliability — showing up consistently matters deeply in SIL
  • A calm, respectful, resident‑focused approach
  • A commitment to helping people build independence and meaningful life skills

If this sounds like you, you’ll thrive in our team.

❤️ What’s Awesome About Working With Us

  • Flexible shifts — morning, afternoon, and sleepover options to suit your lifestyle
  • Dedicated on‑site Managers and Support Staff who are always ready to assist
  • Genuine connections with peers and residents — you’ll learn and grow together
  • Real variety — supporting people with different backgrounds, abilities, communication styles, and independence levels
  • 40+ years of stability — join an organisation with history, heart, and exciting growth ahead
